On 19 and 20 July 2025 on the territory of Todor Kableshkov University of Transport two exciting sporting events took place – the State Outdoor Archery Championship for the Blind and the 1st International Bulgarian Visually Impaired Archery Open Tournament. The events were organized by the Federation “Sport for the Visually Impaired” and SC “Phoenix Archery” – Sofia, with the assistance of Todor Kableshkov University of Transport, Ministry of Youth and Sports and Bulgarian Archery Federation.
The two competitions were attended by 11 teams and over 40 visually impaired participants who were supported by personal spotters and volunteers from Phoenix Archery. Shooting was outdoors, at a distance of 30 metres and a target size of 122 centimetres.
The winners were personally awarded by the Rector of Todor Kableshkov University of Transport Prof. Dr. Eng. Krasimir Krystanov, who congratulated all the participants for the excellent performance and sportsmanship and expressed his satisfaction that it was the field of the Todor Kableshkov University of Transport, which hosted such a sports competition.
