On June 4, 2025, in the campus of Todor Kableshkov University of Transport the opening of the new “Rotating Mechanism for Vehicle-Road Interaction Testing” took place. The facility was built by faculty staff and students from the departments of Transport Construction and Equipment, Mechanics and Transportation Equipment, as part of a research project. The overall construction and assembly work was carried out by our student of automotive engineering Dimitar Krystanov.
Guests of the event were Commissioner Maria Boteva, deputy head of the Traffic Police Department, eng. Alexi Kessiakov, long-time head of Traffic Police, colleagues from the University.
Prof. Chavdar Kolev from the department of Transport Construction and Equipment, assoc. prof. Blagoyka Kadijska from the department of Mechanics and as. Veselin Naydenov from the Department of Transportation Equipment presented details about the construction and functioning of the rotation mechanism. The Rector prof. Krassimir Krastanov congratulated the team for their enthusiasm and professionalism in the implementation of the project, and Commissioner Boteva expressed her support for the next venture of the University of Transport in the direction of improving road safety and care for more conscious driving.
