On April 9, 2025 the traditional for Todor Kableshkov University of Transport Open Doors Day was held.
Over 100 students from several vocational schools and secondary schools from Sofia and the country, our partners, visited us and got acquainted with tour campus and educational facilities. Our guests were young people from Hendry Ford High School – Sofia, McGahan High School of Transport – Sofia, “Nikola Vaptsarov High School” – Slivnitsa, 170 Secondary School “Vasil Levski” in Novi Iskar, “Dr. Petar Beron High School” – Kostinbrod, Secondary School of Textile and Leather Products – Sofia, Secondary School of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Geodesy “Angel Popov” – Veliko Tarnovo, etc.
During the official meeting in “Jubileina” hall Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eng. Julia Varadinova, Deputy Rector for Educational Activities, together with the deans of the faculties Prof. Dr. Eng. Georgi Pavlov and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eng. Mirjana Evtimova and the heads of the departments, presented to the seniors information on the application process, training opportunities and prospects for further realization offered by the University of Transport.
After the meeting, the students visited the University’s facilities, part of the laboratories and had the opportunity to test their skills on the simulators for train drivers and car drivers. They also joined the career event held on the same day at VTU – Day of Specialties, where they were able to attend presentations of companies-employers of our graduates and meet representatives of the companies.
We hope to have ignited the spark in these young people to pursue a career in transport and look forward to welcoming them as our students in the new academic year.
