BIOGRAFHY
Biography
He began his career as an engineer-technologist at the Gorna Oryahovitsa railway station. Subsequently, his professional trajectory has been dedicated to teaching, research, and applied work at Todor Kableshkov University of Transport. He has also been actively involved in the construction, implementation, and management of information systems. His roles have included programmer, system administrator, and manager of numerous information projects across academic, transport, and private business sectors.
He lectures in several disciplines at the Department of Technology, Organization and Management of Transport, including Project Management, Internet Technologies, Operational Transport Management, Information Systems for Project Management, and Project Preparation, Implementation and Evaluation. Additionally, he teaches courses in the Departments of Mathematics and Informatics, and Communications and Security Equipment and Systems, such as Construction and Management of Computer Networks, Network and System Administration, Virtual Private Networks and Safe Zones, Intrusion Detection Systems, Management of Computer Systems, Networks and Services, Security and Protection of Information Systems and Data, and Linux Operating Systems. He is also the founder and head of the Master’s program in Network and Information Security.
His primary academic and research interests include project management, operational transport management, the development and implementation of information and Internet systems, and network and information security.
He has independently authored or co-authored two monographs, seven textbooks or teaching aids, and over 80 publications. He has led or coordinated more than 15 of over 30 research and applied projects. He has supervised more than 50 graduates who have successfully defended their dissertations and four PhD students.
He has served for an extended period as head of the Center for Information and Telecommunication Services (IT Department) at Todor Kableshkov University of Transport. In this role, he has developed and implemented the majority of information projects related to computer and network infrastructure, information systems, and services supporting university operations and management. His work includes the development of systems for distance learning and electronic communications.
He is a member of the program and organizing committees for faculty scientific conferences at the Faculty of Transport Management, including the university’s international scientific conferences TEMPT and TRANSPORT. He also serves on the Academic Council and the Faculty Council of the Faculty of Transport Management. His professional affiliations include membership in the European Security Association, the Council for Software Education at the Ministry of Education and Science, and the Board of the National Research Network Association.

Since 2018, he has been a professor at the Department of Technology, Organization and Management of Transport in the field of higher education: 5. Technical Sciences, professional field: 5.5. Transport, shipping and aviation.
In 2007, the Higher Attestation Commission awarded him the scientific title of “Associate Professor” at the Department of Technology, Organization and Management of Transport in the scientific specialty 02.14.01 “Transport Systems and Transport Technologies”.
