FPZ organized on 18 March 2019 second pilot in Zagreb on Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences.
DANUBE SKILLS – PILOT TESTING OF DANUBE LOGISTICS PROMOTION CENTRE IN ROMANIA- DLPC/RO
CER and UPIR organized on 13 March 2019, in CERONAV premises in Galati the national workshop for promotion and pilot testing of the Romanian Danube Logistics Promotion Centre.
DANUBE SKILLS – SECOND PILOT COURSE IN GALATI- ROMANIA
CERONAV organized on 12 March 2019, in its premises in Galati, Romania, the pilot course on Human resource management and social responsibility on board addressing inland navigation personnel at Management level.
DANUBE SKILLS – TRAINING DANUBE LOGISTICS PROMOTION CENTRES (DLPC)
The 3rd train-the-trainer session on “legal and administrative framework relevant for Danube Navigation“ took place on 13th February 2019, in Sofia, Bulgaria, within the premises and with the great support of the Todor Kableshkov University of Transport.
DANUBE SKILLS – PILOT COURSES IN RUSE, BULGARIA
Executive Agency “Maritime administration” organized the pilot courses for “Safety practices for emergency situations during ship operations – Operational level” and “Human resource management and social responsibilities on board – Management level” from 29 to 31 January 2019 in Ruse, Bulgaria.
DANUBE SKILLS – PILOT COURSE IN VIENNA, AUSTRIA
On 10 December 2018 viadonau organised a pilot course on Safety practices for emergency situations during ship operation at its premises in Vienna, Austria. With the support of the FH Upper Austria and the vocational school MFE, the participating apprentices were offered a diverse one-day programme.
DANUBE SKILLS – PILOT COURSE IN GALATI, ROMANIA
CERONAV organized on 11 and 12 December, in its premises in Galati, Romania, the pilot course on Safety practices for emergency situations during ship operation. Careful and minute planning, incorporating lessons learnt from former Train the trainer session in February 2018, allowed the successful deployment of the event and familiarisation and acquisition by trainees of both knowledge and practical skills related to this essential course on safety of navigation.

Consistent with our commitment to keep you informed on progress made in Danube SKILLS we are happy to share with you several recent project steps paving the way to integration of Danube navigation into modern transport solutions: the train-the-trainer session, dedicated to the model course Human Resource Management and Social Responsibility on board and the second training session on the topic “Markets and country-specific potentials” and also recent news received from CESNI on adoption of the “Prague standards” and individual partners related to synergies with other ongoing projects.
DANUBE SKILLS – AT THE 6TH INTERNATIONAL STAKEHOLDERS CONFERENCE OF PA 9- INVESTING IN PEOPLE AND SKILLS
CERONAV as Danube SKILLS leader was invited to attend the 6th International Stakeholders Conference – The Future of Priority Area 9- ”Investing in People and Skills” in the Danube Region, organised by the Federal Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs, Health and Consumer Protection, Austria and the Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research, Austria on 29 November 2018 in Vienna and intended to provide participants with opportunities to discuss current and future challenges related to education and training as well as employment policies in Europe and in the Danube Region.
DANUBE SKILLS – PILOT COURSES IN BUDAPEST, HUNGARY- The Human Resource pilot course was organized in Budapest by RSOE on the 26th November 2018 in cooperation with MAHART Passnave company.
DANUBE SKILLS – at SmarTransnational Cooperation event on 20 Nov. in Bucharest, Romania – Danube SKILLS was selected to attend the event SmarTransnational Cooperation organised by the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Administration in Romania from 20 to 22 November 2018 at the National Library in Bucharest and intended to facilitate a dialogue and knowledge sharing between successful DTP, URBACT and INTERREG EUROPE successful projects and ETC beneficiaries, policymakers and other relevant stakeholders.
DANUBE SKILLS – Training session in Germany – On 8th November 2018 the DanubeSKILLS partner DST organised the training session of the model course “Safety practices for emergency situations during ship operation – Operational level”. The model course is one of the main outputs of the DanubeSKILLS project.
DANUBE SKILLS – National Workshop in Sofia, Bulgaria – On 31st of October, 2018, Todor Kableshkov University of Transport (UT) organized in its premises in Sofia the national workshop with project Bulgarian stakeholders.

DANUBE SKILLS – STAKEHOLDER MEETING IN AUSTRIA- AUSTRIA- Stakeholder-meeting on the implementation of the EU-Directive 2017/2397 in the apprenticeship in the area of inland navigation and shipping.
DANUBE SKILLS – TRANSLOGISTICA EXPO, BUCHAREST, ROMANIA – CERONAV representatives of Danube SKILLS project attended the 4th edition of TransLogistica EXPO, the largest exhibition on Transport, Logistics, IT and Supply Chain in the South East Europe, organized in Bucharest between 26 to 28 September 2018.
DANUBE SKILLS – TRAIN THE TRAINER SESSION, BRATISLAVA, SLOVAKIA
On 20 September 2018 CERONAV organized in Bratislava, Slovakia, the Train the trainer session on Human Resource Management and Social Responsibility on board, the transnational innovative model jointly developed by project partners based on the competence standards prepared by CESNI/QP/COM Expert Group.
DANUBE SKILLS – 3RD NEWSLETTER IS ONLINE! – Eighteen months into project implementation we are happy to share with you some of our results in reaching project ambitious objectives for the Danube region: integration of Danube navigation into modern transport solutions by updating and developing logistics information, tools and services and increasing the institutional capacity of the region for the adoption of the new EU Directive 2017 / 2397 on the recognition of professional qualifications in inland navigation and repealing Council Directives 91/672/EEC and 96/50/EC.
DANUBE SKILLS – PROGRESS UPDATE REPORTED TO EUSDR PAC1 14TH MEETING OF STEERING GROUP – Danube SKILLS was invited by the Steering Group of EUSDR PAC1a to present an update on strategy for the implementation of the Directive 2017/2397 during its 14th meeting on 12 June 2018 in Budapest, Hungary.
DANUBE SKILLS – PROGRESS REPORTED TO CESNI/QP MEMBERS – Danube SKILLS delegates, Ghiuler Manole and Doina Munteanu of CERONAV, had the privilege to report on ongoing project activities to members of CESNI/QP/COM and CESNI/QP gathered on 23 and 24 May in Strasbourg, France.
DANUBE SKILLS – SETTING UP JOINT COOPERATION WITH EDINNA – The agenda of EDINNA’s 12th General Assembly held on 15-16 May in Harlingen, NL focused primarily on the recently published European Directive 2017/2397 on the recognition of professional qualifications in inland navigation and steps to be taken by EDINNA members to support its future implementation in their countries.

DANUBE SKILLS – PROMOTED IN BELGRADE – The school for shipping, shipbuilding and hydrobuilding has been taking part in Education and Job Fairs.
DANUBE SKILLS – BRINGS NEWS ON APPROVAL OF STANDARDS IN THE FIELD OF PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS – News of utmost interest for further development of Danube SKILLS tools and strategies supporting implementation of EU Directive 2017/2397 on the recognition of professional qualifications in inland navigation came from Strasbourg.
DANUBE SKILLS – BRINGS NEWS FROM WROCLAW, POLAND – Danube SKILLS members, Ghiuler Manole and Doina Munteanu, attended the International Ministerial Conference Connecting by Inland Navigation jointly organized on 18-19 April in Wroclaw, Poland by the Ministry of Maritime Economy and Inland Navigation of the Republic of Poland and UNECE, which gathered over 300 participants from 28 countries.
DANUBE SKILLS – PROMOTES TRANSPORT DEVELOPMENT ON THE DANUBE – In the framework of the EU-funded project, Danube SKILLS, experts for transport development from viadonau visited Constanta in Romania at the end of February, where the first training session for the preparation of the new “Danube logistics promotion centres” was carried out.
