On 10 December 2018 viadonau organised a pilot course on Safety practices for emergency situations during ship operation at its premises in Vienna, Austria. With the support of the FH Upper Austria and the vocational school MFE, the participating apprentices were offered a diverse one-day programme.

DANUBE SKILLS – PILOT COURSE IN GALATI, ROMANIA
CERONAV organized on 11 and 12 December, in its premises in Galati, Romania, the pilot course on Safety practices for emergency situations during ship operation. Careful and minute planning, incorporating lessons learnt from former Train the trainer session in February 2018, allowed the successful deployment of the event and familiarisation and acquisition by trainees of both knowledge and practical skills related to this essential course on safety of navigation.

CERONAV as Danube SKILLS leader was invited to attend the 6th International Stakeholders Conference – The Future of Priority Area 9- ”Investing in People and Skills” in the Danube Region, organised by the Federal Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs, Health and Consumer Protection, Austria and the Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research, Austria on 29 November 2018 in Vienna and intended to provide participants with opportunities to discuss current and future challenges related to education and training as well as employment policies in Europe and in the Danube Region.

DANUBE SKILLS – at SmarTransnational Cooperation event on 20 Nov. in Bucharest, Romania – Danube SKILLS was selected to attend the event SmarTransnational Cooperation organised by the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Administration in Romania from 20 to 22 November 2018 at the National Library in Bucharest and intended to facilitate a dialogue and knowledge sharing between successful DTP, URBACT and INTERREG EUROPE successful projects and ETC beneficiaries, policymakers and other relevant stakeholders.

DANUBE SKILLS – BRINGS NEWS FROM WROCLAW, POLAND – Danube SKILLS members, Ghiuler Manole and Doina Munteanu, attended the International Ministerial Conference Connecting by Inland Navigation jointly organized on 18-19 April in Wroclaw, Poland by the Ministry of Maritime Economy and Inland Navigation of the Republic of Poland and UNECE, which gathered over 300 participants from 28 countries.
