On April 9, 2025, the Todor Kableshkov Higher School of Transport held its traditional Open Day.
More than 100 students from various vocational high schools and secondary schools from Sofia and across the country, which partner with HST, visited the university to explore its facilities and educational programs. Among the guests were students from PGET “Henry Ford” – Sofia, PG in Transport “MacGahan” – Sofia, PG in Transport “N.Y. Vaptsarov” – Slivnitsa, 170th Secondary School “Vasil Levski” – Novi Iskar, Secondary School “Dr. Petar Beron” – Kostinbrod, PG in Textile and Leather Products – Sofia, PG in Construction, Architecture, and Geodesy “Angel Popov” – Veliko Tarnovo, and others.
During the official meeting in the “Jubilee” hall, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eng. Julia Varadinova, Vice-Rector for Educational Activities, together with the deans of the faculties—Prof. Dr. Eng. Georgi Pavlov and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eng. Miryana Evtimova—and department heads, presented information to the prospective students regarding admission requirements, educational opportunities, and career prospects offered by HST.
Following the meeting, students toured the university facilities, explored some of the laboratories, and had the chance to test their skills on simulators for train drivers and young motorists. They also joined the Career Day event happening on the same day, where they attended presentations by companies employing HST graduates and had the opportunity to meet industry representatives.
We hope this event has ignited a passion for professional development in the field of transport among these young people, and we look forward to welcoming them as our students in the new academic year!
