The 26th International Spring Seminar on Electronic Technology: Integrated Management of Electronic Materials Production was held in the High Tatras, Stara Lesna, Slovakia, from
8 to 12 May 2003. The Conference was organized by the Department of Technologies in
Electronic with the Technical University in Kosice, Slovakia in cooperation
with the IEEE, Components, Packaging and Manufacturing Technology /CPMT/ Society, and
the IEEE for Slovakia. Assoc. Prof. Nencho Nenov, Ph.D., Rector of the Higher School of Transport is a member of
the International Steering Committee.
The seminar was attended by scientists, teachers, post-graduate and graduate students from 15 countries on 4 continents: the USA, China, New Guiana and most of the European countries. The number of the papers presented is 108.

The group of the participants from the Higher School of Transport included two
students: Kalin Hristov and Kaloyan Mitev, 4 postgraduate students: Ilka
Stefanova and Emiliya Dimitrova from the Department of Communication
and Safety Equipment and Systems, Ahmed Saliev and Ivan Petrov from the
Department of Organization and Management of Transport, two teachers: Nelly
Stoytcheva, Ph.D., Senior Lecturer and Margarita Georgieva, M.Sc., Senior
Lecturer, and Assoc. Prof. Nencho Nenov, Ph.D. During the conference it was
announced that Youth Section of IEEE had been established at the Higher
School of Transport.
The papers presented attracted the interest of all participants Kalin Hristov,
a forth-year student in the Program of Telecommunications made an oral
presentation in the Conference Hall. The Bulgarian students were the
youngest participants in the conference.
During the conference there was a meeting of the International Steering Committee
