TRANS TREND 2017 exhibition

On April 26th and 27th, 2017 was held the first in its kind national exhibition TRANS TREND 2017 “INNOVATIONS, BUSINESS AND EDUCATION IN TRANSPORT” which was hosted and co-organized by Todor Kableshkov University of Transport, High Drive and ATT magazines. This is a great event which brings together stakeholders, engineers, logistics companies, freight forwarders, students and PhD students.
The main idea of the event was to be showed the latest technology innovations and achievements of education and industry. TRANS TREND 2017 combines both an exhibition of different manufacturers and seminar, consisted of four panels dedicated to the transport technologies and innovations. The main goals of the exhibition were:
To get students, PhD students, teachers and transport and logistics companies familiar with the latest innovations in the field of transport and technology; To present opportunities for career development of students from different transport specialties as well as good opportunities for transport companies to hire well educated students;
There were many interesting car models, electric cars, retro cars, trucks, green energy systems and intelligent logistics solutions. Representatives of Todor Kableshkov University of Transport and of the Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy demonstrated their training complexes.
24 companies took participation in the exhibition, such as: Scania Bulgaria; IVECO; Porshe Bulgaria; Frotcom Bulgaria; Renault Nissan Bulgaria; Turbo Trucks; TransPress; Olymp; Discordia; Dimbo Ltd; Sofia France Auto; Moto Pfohe; Robert Bosh Ltd; HADO Bulgaria; GPS control; National Electric Vehicles Industrial Cluster; Schenker Bulgaria; Bulgarian State Railway Company – Passengers Transport; Destination Bulgaria; Retro Car Club; Goodyear; Goti. The exhibition was opened by the rector of Todor Kableshkov University of Transport – prof. Daniela Todorova, PhD. In her welcoming speech she underlined that the graduates of the university possess the necessary knowledge and skills to be part of the personnel of the transport and logistics companies. Official guests of the exhibition was also the deputy minister of transport, information technologies and communications – Lyubomir Hadjiiski and the mayor of Slatina municipality – Nataliya Stoyanova. At the event were also many representatives of institutions which operate in the transport sector:

  • Prof. Stoyan Bratoev, PhD – executive director of Metropoliten Sofia and d.h.c. of Todor Kableshkov University of Transport
  • Mr. Krasimir Papukchiiski – executive director of National Rail Infrastructure Company
  • Mr Valeri Vasilev – executive director of State Enterprise Transport Construction and Rehabilitation
  • Mr. Georgi Minchev – representative of Trans Balkani Ltd.
  • Prof. Boyan Mednikarov, DSc – head of Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy
  • Major General Grudi Angelov – head of Georgi Sava Rakovski Military Academy.

The TRANS TREND 2017 exhibition was visited by many lovers of the transport technologies and innovations.
