KNOW-IN (Knowledge-Intensive freight transport SMEs)
KNOW-IN (Knowledge-Intensive freight transport SMEs) is a project funded by the EC within the LLP/Leonardo da Vinci programme (2012-2013) . The coordinator is Business and Innovation Centre Albacete, Spain, and among the partners from five other countries Bulgaria is represented by the Todor Kableshkov University of Transport (VTU). The VTU’s team leader is Assoc. Prof. Dr Kiril Karagyozov, Head of Department of Technology, Organization and Management of Transport, with participation of Ms Mirena Todorova, Senior lecturer, Assoc. Prof. Dr Simeon Ananiev and Dr Anna Dzhaleva-Chonkova.
The project objectives are to ensure that road transport managers are able to anticipate the knowledge and skills needed today and in the future, to ensure that there is no labour mismatches in the EU freight transport by road sector, to encourage managers in SMEs to promote life-long learning in the workplace, through creation of innovate learning tools, enabling learning to take place anywhere and at any time. The new road transport manager should acquire management skills and tools to overcome challenges and succeed to be competitive in the transport sector.
