Graduation of students in Master’s degree

A few days before the Bulgarian celebration “The Day of the Bulgarian education and Slavonic Alphabet” was held the graduation of students in master’s degree. At the event were 156 graduating students, their families and many teachers from the university of transport.

In her speech, the rector of Todor Kableshkov University of Transport – prof. Daniela Todorova, PhD underlined that she was very proud to see so many graduates and their families and was happy that she was part of such important moment in their lives. She handed the diplomas of the students who had graduated the university with excellent marks.

At the event was also the deputy-minister of transport, information technologies and communications – mr. Velik Zanchev, mrs. Snejana Dukova and mr. Nikolay Tsonkov – members of the Education Committee at the Parliament of the Republic of Bulgaria, mr. Biser Minchev – chief auditor at the National Railway Infrastructure Company, mr. Valeri Vasilev – executive director of State Enterprise “Construction and rehabilitation of transport infrastructure”, eng. Kiril Ermenkov – chairman of the National Alliance in Transport, mrs. Milena Delcheva – expert at Human Resources Department at Bulgarian State Railway Company. Julieta Pezhgorska who was one of the students who graduated the university with excellent marks welcomed her colleagues and wished them good luck in their professional career. Welcoming speeches were sent by the minister of science and education – mr. Krasimir Valchev, by the rector of the Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy – prof. Boyan Mednikarov, DSc and by the mayor of Slatina municipality – mrs. Natalia Stoyanova.

During the celebration, the Awards of the Rector were handed to students and PhD students in the field of research activity. The best students’ papers from the Young Researcher’s Forum were awarded with certificates and cash prizes.

At the end of the celebration, the rector of the university – prof. Daniela Todorova, PhD, the vice-rector in education – prof. Nikolay Georgiev, PhD, the vice-rector in research and international relations – prof. Petar Kolev, DSc together with the students who graduated the university with excellent marks planted a tree at the university campus which tree will grow and develop with the alumni of the university of transport.
