On November 27, 2017 an official delegation from Ningbo, China was on a visit to “Todor Kableshkov” University of Transport. Members of the delegation were representatives of the Ningbo University of Technology and University of Nottingham in Ningbo, as well as honored representatives from Ningbo City Municipality and the local business community.

At the meeting with the academic staff of “Todor Kableshkov” University of Transport at the Conference Hall, the honored guests presented the city of Ningbo and University of Nottingham in Ningbo and introduced the Ningbo Municipality’s large-scale program to recruit talented scientists from Central and Eastern Europe working in innovative and hi-tech areas of science. It has become clear that a high-budget system has been developed to support financially the prospective researchers and inventors from around the world for the practical implementation of approved projects in all areas of science and industry.

The Rector of “Todor Kableshkov” University of Transport, prof. PhD. eng.-econ. Daniela Todorova introduced the guests with the history and development of our university, with the opportunities for training and research and presented the joint program for training and bilateral exchange of PhD students and students between “Todor Kableshkov” University of Transport and Ningbo University of Technology. The meeting was attended by PhD students who were trained under this program, who, together with their scientific mentors from the University of Transport, held a conversation with Associate Professor Vang Bo from the Ningbo University of Technology, Second scientific supervisor of a part of PhD students.

This event is yet another proof of the growing presence of our university in the international educational area and its imposition as an authoritative training institution, which prepares highly qualified professionals and research staff with potential for realization both nationally and globally.
