The academic leadership of the University of Transport “Todor Kableshkov” took part in the opening ceremony of the Chinese Cultural Center in Sofia on 23 November 2017. The event was attended by dozens of guests from the mayoral government of the capital, China Ambassador Zhang Heizhou, the Ministers of Culture of the two countries, as well as representatives of various business and cultural organizations from Bulgaria and China. This is the largest Chinese cultural center in Central and Southeast Europe. It stretches over 8 floors, with an area of 4000 square meters and is created with the support of the Chinese Ministry of Culture and Ningbo City, which is one of the busiest ports in the world. In the center there will be exhibitions, calligraphy courses and arts, demonstrations of tea ceremonies, etc.

Our representatives were personally invited to the celebration by the Director of the Chinese Cultural Center, who had visited our university earlier this week and was involved in signing an official Memorandum of Cooperation on Transport Infrastructure and Investment Cooperation between China and the Central and Eastern European Countries.
