XXIII International Scientific Conference
On October 12, 2017 in the Jubilee Hall of ‘Todor Kableshkov’ University of transport – Sofia was opened the 23-rd International Scientific Conference ‘Transport 2017’. The official event was attended by many guests from partner universities and organizations from Bulgaria and abroad. Greeting speeches were given by prof. Zoran Bundalo, Rector of the Belgrade Railway School, Serbia, prof. Zdenek Dvorak, University of Žilina in Slovakia, prof. Stanislav Philip – Rector of the University of Economics, Management and Public Administration in Bratislava, Slovakia, prof. Mile Savkovich – Dean of the University of Kralevo, Serbia, Prof. Chekerevac from Nikola Tesla University in Belgrade, Serbia, Prof. Lyudmila Prigoda from the State University of Technology of the Republic of Macedonia, Russian Federation, Prof. Zenon Wojtanis from the European Security Association, Poland, Mr. Peter Mutafchiev, Doctor Honoris Causa of the University of transport ‘Todor Kableshkov’.
Senior lecturer PhD Siana Lutskanova of the ‘N. Vaptsarov’ Naval Academy, Varna read a greeting letter on behalf of the flotilla admiral Professor DSc Boyan Mednikarov, Head of the academy.
After the official opening, the scientific reports of plenary sessions were presented by: the Rector of ‘Todor Kableshkov’ University of transport – Sofia, prof. PhD. eng-econ. Daniela Todorova, as well as representatives of partner organizations from the country and abroad.
This year’s conference was part of the events connected with the celebration of the significant anniversary of ‘Todor Kableshkov’ University of transport – 95 years since its establishment.
The prestigious scientific forum was attended by more than 150 prominent scientists and researchers from 10 countries, which presented their creative achievements and exchanged valuable professional experience. Reports were presented in 14 scientific fields, with participants divided into 9 different sessions. All the conference materials are published in the scientific journal ‘Mechanics, Transport, Communications’, which has a 13-year history and is referenced and indexed in five world-renowned scientific data bases.
