Scientific forum for young researchers – 2017
On May 4th, 2017, at the National House of Science and Technology was held a Scientific Forum for Young Researchers 2017 on topic “Young people in transport – education, innovations and business”. The main organizers of the event was the Scientific Alliance in Transport, the Federation of Scientific Alliances in Transport in Bulgaria and Ministry of transport, information technologies and communications with the cooperation of transport companies and Bulgarian universities of which was Todor Kableshkov University of Transport. The forum was organized under the patronage of the minister of transport, information technologies and communications.
The forum was opened by the chairman of the Scientifc Alliance in Transport – eng. Kiril Ermenkov. Among the guests of the forum were the dean of Faculty of Transport at Technical University Sofia – assoc. prof. Boyko Gigov, PhD, the head of department “National Transport Policy” at Ministry of transport, information technologies and communication – mr. Dimitar Savov and the deputy chairperson of the Federation of Scientific Alliances in Transport in Bulgaria – mrs. Liliya Smedarchina. Representatives of Todor Kableshkov University of Transport were also at the event – the rector of the university – prof. Daniela Todorova, PhD, the vice-rector in research and international relations – prof. Petar Kolev, DSc. and the dean of faculty “Communications and electric equipment in transport” – prof. Ivan Milenov, PhD. Prof. Milenov and Martin Zlatkov from the university of transport were moderators of the second plenary session of the forum.
The first plenary session was opened by prof. Daniela Todorova, PhD and she presented a paper on topic “Public-private partnership – an instrument for the development of the transport infrastructure and Bulgarian economy”. Papers were presented by many teachers from the university of transport – prof. Ivan Milenov, PhD, assoc. prof. Mirena Todorova, PhD, assoc. prof. Zdravko Bakalov, PhD, Yavor Isaev, PhD, Martin Zlatkov, Petyo Angelov and Marina Tomcheva.
